Stuart is a clinical psychologist. He works with a variety of issues, but his main areas of interest include mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, shame, self-worth, stress, relationships, existential issues and emotion regulation.
Stuart is a warm and kind practitioner who creates an open and non-judgmental space to freely explore all aspects of a client’s current difficulties and their origins. He works collaboratively with each individual to cultivate understanding, insight, self-compassion and to develop the psychological tools to facilitate positive change and growth. He combines the approaches of cognitive-behavioural therapy, schema therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
Stuart is a long-term meditator and has a diverse range of life experiences and interests in a variety of fields, including commerce, performance art and aid work. He has also undertaken research within the areas of depression, anxiety, parenting, shame, help-seeking intentions and suicidal ideation.
